Project: Diesel Lab - North Iowa Area Community College - Mason City, Iowa

This project resulted in a clean, modern building that has the ability to accommodate full length semi-trailer trucks, as well as large recreational vehicles. Long spans dictated that a center joist girder span north-south across the building to support two spans of steel roof joists. Note the oversized “shock absorbers” that frame the clerestory windows and support the west overhang of the main roof.
